A welcome message
from Founder, Kate Stone

When I was motorcycling around the rice fields of Bali in 2009 teaching with the Princeton fellowship program, I never imagined that my work would evolve into the holistic preparatory program it is today—helping hundreds of students not just get into top universities, but build extraordinary lives.

In my years working under top college coaches and developing lasting mentorships with heads of elite admissions, I mastered the art of packaging and pitching successful college applicants.

While guiding students into top schools, I was also chasing my own lifelong dream—becoming a working actress, a decade-long journey that took me from Hollywood to international film sets. Auditioning taught me that high stakes demand preparation, and sold me on the power and importance of storytelling.

I became known for my ability to draw stories out of teenagers and teach them how to tell their stories.

But the deeper I got into this work, the more I saw the flaw in the college prep industry.

It focuses too much on shaping the perfect application and not enough on shaping the person. I didn’t want to just help kids tell their stories. I wanted to help them create stories. And I didn’t want to work exclusively with the top 5% of students already destined for success. I wanted to help all students build lives so interesting, so bold, that their stories naturally became compelling.

This is when Kate Stone was born.

It wasn’t just about college anymore. It became about mentorship, character development, and pushing students to do things they never thought they could. I would not be doing the level of work I am today without the mentors I’ve had, the deep fears I’ve had to confront, and the training and conditioning I’ve put myself through. The best part about this approach is that it works for college admissions, job placement, and success in life.

The sudden passing of my mother brought me back home. With the expansion of my team and new offices, I’ve doubled down on my mission to solve the education problems in this country, starting with my local community.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with your family.

Of all the jobs I’ve had in the world of education, nothing beats being a coach on Kate’s team.

Although, without having worked as an AP and IB high school teacher, a college professor, an online instructor with a 100k+ students, and the owner of several education companies, I don’t know if I would have brought as much to the table as Kate.

For years before joining her team, I watched Kate pour hours into providing the highest level of service possible to some of the most exceptional students on the planet. Kate is hands down the best implementer I’ve ever seen. She craves knowledge, works at light speed, and holds herself to nearly impossible standards.

The day after we got engaged, I decided to come work with her full time. I stopped what I was doing, built a team, streamlined operations, and doubled the numbers of families Kate could help year after year. However, it wasn’t long before my love for teaching pulled me into working one-on-one with students again to develop our college prep and career coaching services.

Much of my focus today is on how to take Kate’s unique approach and train the next generation of coaches to guide students as powerfully and potently as Kate does. I wholeheartedly share her vision for an educational system that prepares students not just for college, but for life.

Kate would be the first person to tell you I have a super power for coaching people to do things bigger than they thought possible, and I couldn’t think of a better place for me to apply this gift than with Kate Stone Prep.

I look forward to meeting your family, and working to accomplish great things together!
